Bespoke Projects (Development and Management)

So what is involved in Project Development and Management? Innovate Volunteering can provide you with each of the following aspects independently of each other or a complete package with all aspects included.

Consultation

Purpose:
To identify how volunteering can enhance service provision.
Processes:
Formal and informal consultation with management, staff and service users. To identify any gaps and any areas of service/productivity that can be enhanced through the use of volunteering.

Initiation

Purpose:
The planning, setting out the outcomes, outputs and phases of the project, planning for delivery.
Processes:
Following consultation Innovate will develop proposal plans. With further consultation a full project plan will be devised. This will be shared with management and staff with a clear indication of steps and responsibilities.

Delivery

Purpose:
The delivery of the project, recruitment, selection, training and management of the volunteers and of the service.
Processes:
Innovate volunteering will recruit the right kind of volunteer for the project, train them and supervise and progress the volunteers, throughout the project. Innovate can also manage the work of the volunteers and develop their roles within the organisation.

Monitor/Manage Risk

Purpose:
Monitoring systems and information management systems, data collection and ongoing evaluation. Identify and manage any risks to not achieving outcomes or of the project developing as planned.
Processes:
We will devise data collection methods that are simple to use and easy to complete. We will set up a project team and monitor and manage risk through this method. We will provide monthly highlight reports to the organisation. Innovate will also provide quarterly reports detailing progression against the plan and outcomes in both quantitive and qualitative terms.

Evaluate

Purpose:
Record the successes of the project, make further recommendations and explore sustainability.
Processes:
The organisation will be presented with a report which includes an options appraisal towards the end of the project detailing success, recommendations and possible routes for continuation.

Volunteers can hold a high level of responsibility when appropriately trained and supported and therefore any type of project can be considered.

Thank you so much Innovate Volunteering for such a great course. Well devised and enjoyed the different learning styles of the course. Thank you for your support through my illness and helping me to catch up with couple of weeks missed
